Our Story

Chef Elara Vasquez grew up in the hills of Crete, learning to coax flavour from olive oil, sea salt, and the evening catch. At The Little Fig, she brings that same patient, elemental cooking to Toronto — wood-fired vegetables, whole fish grilled over charcoal, lamb that braises until it falls apart. No fuss, no foam. Just the honest, sun-soaked food she grew up eating.

The kitchen works with a handful of small Ontario farms and a fishmonger who texts Elara each morning what came off the boat. The menu changes with the season and whatever looked best at the market that day. Everything is meant to be shared, eaten with your hands, and lingered over with a second bottle of wine.
